SAP Vertex Consultant

Experteer Overview In this role, you help optimize ERP-driven processes and architect custom solutions that align with enterprise standards. You will lead integration design, data migration, and performance improvements to support scalable, secure systems. Compensation / Benefits * Analyze complex business processes to identify optimization opportunities and draft requirement specifications aligned with enterprise architecture standards * Define and develop solution architecture, steering customization and integration efforts based on business analysis * Design and implement advanced customizations on the ERP platform and develop critical software with the development team * Develop and implement complex integration workflows to connect the ERP system with external applications and lead large-scale data migration strategies * Implement advanced performance optimization strategies focused on scalability, reliability, and user experience, while leading compliance initiatives through audits * Develop detailed documentation for complex ERP customizations and lead training workshops for various user groups Tasks * Hands-on Vertex O-Series implementation, configuration, and support in enterprise environments * Vertex configuration knowledge covering Tax Assist rules, jurisdictions, rates, exemption certificates, and reporting * Experience integrating Vertex with SAP and custom applications * Experience defining integration standards: API contracts, payload structures, error handling, and monitoring * Solid engineering background with API design, data mapping, JSON/XML transformations, and secure integrations * Ability to define tax data flows, transaction mapping, and reconciliation controls across systems * Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent; willing to relocate/travel; US work authorization * Experience in high-volume transaction environments Key requirements * Medical/Dental/Vision/Life Insurance * Long-term/Short-term Disability * Health and Dependent Care Reimbursement Accounts * 401(k) plan and contributions * Paid holidays plus Paid Time Off
