Job description

Experteer Overview In this role you will design, develop, and deploy end-to-end web applications within GM’s CAE, CAT, Battery, Materials & Validation team. You will work across hybrid locations (Austin, TX and Warren, MI) and contribute to scalable, secure software that supports vehicle test labs and validation efforts. You’ll engage in full development life cycle, mentor juniors, and lead mid-scale projects to drive engineering goals. This is a hands-on role at the intersection of cloud, microservices, and modern front- and back-end tech, with a strong emphasis on quality and delivery impact. Compensation / Benefits * Design and develop scalable web applications using modern front-end and back-end tech and cloud infra * Build robust system infrastructure and database solutions * Evaluate architectural trade-offs and apply synchronous/asynchronous design patterns * Write clean, well-tested code for client and server components * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software * Troubleshoot, optimize performance, ensure security and code quality * Perform software testing and QA, participate in code reviews, mentor juniors * Lead small-to-medium scale projects aligned with business and engineering goals Tasks * Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field * 7+ years of professional software development as a Full Stack Engineer * Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, ReactNative, Angular * Strong knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, Quarkus, Hibernate, JPA, SQL * Experience with HTTP APIs (REST/GraphQL) and datastores (PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, Redis) * Git and CI/CD practices, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) * Containerization and orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker) * Observability tools (Heap, Datadog) * Microservices architecture, RESTful API design, Agile methodologies * Strong problem-solving and communication skills * Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Key requirements *
