Job description

Our client is seeking a talented Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join a growing team supporting a large-scale digital transformation initiative.

With over $5 billion in annual revenue and approximately 30% of revenue generated through digital channels, the organization continues to invest heavily in innovation, cloud technologies, automation, and operational excellence. This role will help build and strengthen the SRE function while partnering with product and operations teams to support a global eCommerce platform serving multiple domestic and international brands., * Lead infrastructure and automation initiatives that support digital transformation efforts.

  • Define and implement SRE best practices across infrastructure and application environments.
  • Develop scalable automation solutions using configuration management tools.
  • Design, deploy, and maintain monitoring and observability solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and operations teams to improve system reliability.
  • Own reporting, monitoring, and accountability for eCommerce performance metrics.
  • Build and enhance highly scalable application infrastructure supporting world-class digital experiences.
  • Define and execute global application roadmaps and technology platform strategies.
  • Support release management processes and deployment automation.
  • Manage centralized logging and analytics using Splunk and related tools.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience developing solutions with Python or Ruby.
  • 2+ years of experience working with AWS cloud technologies.
  • 3+ years of experience in technology implementation and/or business process improvement.
  • Hands-on experience with configuration management and automation tools such as:
  • Ansible
  • Chef
  • Puppet
  • Experience scaling cloud-based applications with a strong focus on automation.
  • Experience leading or supporting web application delivery initiatives, preferably in an eCommerce environment.
  • Knowledge of modern DevOps and SRE practices including:
  • Continuous Integration (CI)
  • Continuous Delivery (CD)
  • Release Automation
  • Experience with monitoring and performance management tools such as:
  • Dynatrace
  • Splunk
  • Rigor
  • Quantum
  • Strong understanding of application performance, reliability, and operational excellence.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of Python or Ruby development experience.
  • 2+ years of AWS experience.
  • 3+ years of business process and/or technology implementation experience.
  • 4+ years of overall IT systems experience.
