Job description

This is a highly specialised role suited to someone with deep PostgreSQL internals expertise, who can work methodically through complex transactional data, reconstruct historical activity, and identify the key technical and evidential risk areas that warrant further examination.

The specialist should assess and document:
- historical concurrency anomalies (eg, lost updates, stale writes, partial transactions)
- The scale, complexity, and forensic relevance of the underlying PostgreSQL data structures and transaction model.
- The availability and completeness of historical artefacts, including database records, WAL, logs, backups, audit data, and other sources.
- The feasibility of reconstructing historical transaction activity and establishing reliable timelines for the reported anomalies.
- The principal technical and evidential risk areas that may require deeper forensic examination during a subsequent investigation.
Also, the specialist should be able to:
Reconstruct transaction timelines where feasible Correlate anomalies with audit/metadata to determine business impact Catalogue distinct issue types with verifiable examples
