  • Design and implement sub-system level test infrastructure to break down battery system validation into targeted, repeatable tests
  • Conduct failure analysis in the lab and field to identify root cause and drive corrective action
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with cell engineering, power electronics, firmware, thermal, and mechanical teams to meet functional, performance, and safety requirements
  • Drive continuous improvement in battery system design and performance by providing data-driven feedback to design owners

Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years of experience in battery system or power electronics integration, development, or testing
  • Understanding of battery management systems, HV/LV electronics, and associated characterization and validation methods
  • Familiarity with power electronics fundamentals, analog/digital circuit design, and protection circuitry
  • Familiarity with communication protocols (CAN, SPI, I2C, TCP/IP, etc.)
  • Experience with Python, C/C++, and lab instrumentation (oscilloscopes, power supplies, electronic loads, DAQ systems)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues within complex hardware/firmware systems
  • Effective communicator with the ability to drive alignment across cross-functional teams
  • Preferred: Experience with high-voltage battery or energy storage systems
