Job description

We are seeking an experienced Data Operations Analyst to support critical financial operations within a fast-paced banking environment. This role is responsible for maintaining high-quality client reference data, validating settlement instructions, resolving operational exceptions, and supporting payment processing controls. The ideal candidate has experience in banking or financial operations, strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a high-volume environment., Validate, create, update, and maintain Standard Settlement Instructions SSIs).

Perform data validation and ensure the accuracy of client reference data.

Investigate discrepancies and resolve settlement or payment exceptions.

Monitor operational workflows and identify potential risks.

Escalate payment or settlement issues to appropriate stakeholders.

Coordinate with internal Operations, Risk, Compliance, and Business teams.

Support client account maintenance and financial data integrity.

Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

Maintain high accuracy while processing high-volume financial transactions.

Research operational inquiries and provide timely resolutions.

Utilize analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to improve operational efficiency.

Support continuous process improvement initiatives.

Requirements

3-6 years of Banking, Financial Services, or Operations experience.

Experience with financial operations, settlements, payments, or client reference data.

Strong data validation and data quality management experience.

Experience investigating operational discrepancies.

Knowledge of compliance, operational risk, or financial controls.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency in MS Excel.

Preferred Skills

Experience with settlement operations.

Knowledge of SWIFT MT103 and MT202 messages.

Exposure to securities, derivatives, foreign exchange, or fixed income products.

Experience supporting Capital Markets or Investment Banking Operations.

Understanding of financial transaction processing.
