Director, Software Engineering

• Sets goals and objectives for team members for achievement of operational results** Manages experienced professionals who exercise latitude and independence in assignments** Influences others outside of their own job regarding policies, practices, and procedures** Contributes to policy and strategy implementation for short-term results** Leads and prioritizes the daily activities of the team** Manages, mentors, and coaches to develop a collaborative and dynamic team** Coordinates cross-functional communication to align on initiatives and strategies to drive efficiency** Defines and drives IT quality assurance practices and procedures** Reviews and analyzes discrepancies in service or performance and recommends updates for products or services** Oversees test schedules and/or strategies in accordance with project scopes and delivery dates** Reviews software documentation to ensure technical accuracy, compliance, and completeness and to mitigate risks** Provides feedback and recommendations on software usability and functionality** Identifies program deviance from standards and suggests modifications to ensure compliance** Develops and specifies standards, methods, or procedures to determine product quality or release readiness** Serves as advanced escalation point for complex reproducing, debugging, and isolating of software problems
