Job description
Summary: This position is responsible for managing/supervising the Adoption Navigators across the state, ensuring delivery of appropriate and quality services., 1. Attends Camp APAC, the annual Permanency Conference, Trained Therapist Network workshop, and other selected special events as needed; attends Coordinator meetings and quarterly APAC All Staff meetings; attends CAS supervisor meetings.

Supervises Adoption Navigator staff, holding regular individual and team staff meetings, training new staff, conducting timely performance evaluations and progressive discipline of staff as needed with guidance from Program Director.

Coordinates the development of APAC trainings on adoption related topics; seeks opportunities for presentations at conferences and professional meetings; conducts trainings as needed.

Develops and maintains relationships with DHR directors, supervisors, and social workers to facilitate referrals and solicit feedback on quality of service; oversees development of contacts to identify resources and activities appropriate for adoptive families.

Assists in developing statewide newsletters as needed; monitors maintenance of current mailing lists, ensuring current and comprehensive client listings for the newsletter and other mass communications.

Communicates regularly with Program Director for consultation and to inform of program and personnel activities and needs; coordinates the team development of goals and activities and provides monthly/quarterly reports to Program Director as needed to document goals/results.

Coordinates the planning and implementation of Parent and Children’s Support Groups in response to client needs; oversees regional staff in obtaining locations and recruiting and contracting facilitators and childcare for groups; oversees the planning and implementation of social and educational activities for adoptive families; serves as an advocate for adoptive families.

Responds to callers in a warm, efficient, effective, and timely manner; responds quickly to all referrals from the help line, DHR, and other sources in identifying needs, serving clients, and documenting results.

Supports and works in collaboration with Pre-Adoption Recruitment and Training Services.

Coordinates all required database documentation and PQI reporting; submits accurate and timely reports and paperwork.

Assists with the planning and implementation of a successful Camp APAC.

Participates actively in the agency PQI process and serves on agency committees as nominated.
Pay: $48,000.00 - $53,000.00 per year
Requirements
Minimum Education: Master’s Degree in Social Work or Counseling.
Minimum Work Experience:5 years experience working with adoption and foster care population, to include some management experience.
Required Licenses/Certifications: LMSW, LICSW or LPC license/eligibility. Valid Alabama driver license and auto insurance minimum liability 100/300.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: Good communication, problem solving. Computer proficiency. Ability to develop, implement, and supervise programs; teach and train; lead groups; respond calmly and non-judgmentally to others, including persons in crisis; and provide a team approach to service delivery. Experience with group presentations. Ability to demonstrate cultural and socioeconomic proficiency. Understanding of trauma informed care.
Required Internal Certification/Trainings: Bi-annual TB skin test/medical report
