Job description

The IT Field Engineer II provides advanced technical support to operational and technical teams, ensuring the stability and integrity of the Company’s information systems, networked computers, operating systems, and service applications. This role encompasses monitoring and maintaining all in-house computer and server hardware, software, voice, data, video, wired and wireless network services, including Local Area Network (LAN) services and low voltage connectivity. The IT Field Engineer II works collaboratively with Senior Field Engineers to deliver exceptional customer service while developing team leadership capabilities., * Develop team leadership and provide technical oversight, on-the-job training, and mentorship to first-level Field Engineers, with emphasis on career advancement and professional development

  • Deliver advanced technical support to first-level Field Engineers through incident troubleshooting, escalated problem resolution, root cause analysis, and comprehensive documentation
  • Perform second-level maintenance and upgrades on network devices, computer hardware, and software, including configuration restoration in collaboration with Senior Field Engineers, IT Operations Center engineers, and vendor support teams
  • Respond to computer, network, and data security vulnerability alerts at property and regional levels to restore high-priority services and communicate status across assigned regions
  • Install, monitor, maintain, and optimize network and server hardware, software, and communication infrastructure within data centers and communications closets
  • Analyze and resolve network and server hardware and software issues efficiently and accurately
  • Perform network troubleshooting and analysis with support from Senior Field Engineers and IT Operations Center engineers
  • Terminate and test network cabling systems using Company-provided tools and test equipment
  • Execute moves, adds, and changes on traditional, digital, and IP-based phone and voicemail systems with understanding of PRI, ISDN, POTS, and IP-based communication technologies
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot digital signage systems, including indoor and outdoor displays, video walls, projectors, and monument signage
  • Monitor and maintain computer and user accounts to ensure appropriate access to software and network applications in accordance with Company policies
  • Provide Smart Device activation, programming, and enrollment into the Company’s Mobile Device Management System, including user training
  • Record, monitor, track, and document all work performed using the Company’s tracking system
  • Provide scheduled on-call support for emergency after-hours issues
  • Perform inventory of Company assets and maintain accurate stock level documentation
  • Participate in disaster recovery testing and functional analysis related to hardware design, development, and configuration
  • Support rollouts of new computer and software upgrades, including advanced desktop engineering functions such as computer imaging and deployment
  • Assist in determining product compatibility and recommend replacement, upgrade, or retirement of Company assets
  • Adhere to all safety and security precautions and Company policies
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum three (3) years of professional experience in IT Support, Network Engineering, or Systems Engineering roles
  • Demonstrated proficiency with current Microsoft Windows Operating Systems in enterprise environments
  • Strong foundational knowledge of computer networking, hardware installation, and connectivity systems
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and troubleshooting capabilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal formats with strong interpersonal skills
  • Capacity to obtain and maintain a gaming license as required
  • Ability to work scheduled on-call support for emergency after-hours issues, * Associate of Applied Science degree in Computer Science or related discipline
  • Three (3) years of hands-on experience with enterprise desktop and server-related projects
  • Prior experience in a resort, hotel, or casino technology environment
  • Typing proficiency of at least 50 words per minute
  • Demonstrated expertise in the following areas:
  • Installation and configuration of digital signage systems
  • PRI, ISDN, POTS, and IP-based communication technologies
  • Network cabling termination and testing
  • Mobile Device Management System administration
  • Computer imaging and deployment
  • Professional certifications including any of the following:
  • CompTIA A+ Certification
  • CompTIA Network+ or Cisco Certified Technician (CCT) or CCNA Certification
  • Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) or Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE)
  • Demonstrated core competencies in decision-making, quality assurance, customer service excellence, analytical thinking, and problem-solving
