Job description
The Programmer will program and test systems within scope of assigned projects. Troubleshoot, maintain, and program Security Access Controls and IP Video Surveillance systems and components for customers. Integrate third party systems for seamless user interface. Interact with end users to ensure a proper understanding of the operation of their physical security systems. Contribute to the company core focus of âWe bring buildings to lifeâ within our niche of âDoing good for people and planet by providing easily managed solutions to make buildings safer, smarter, and more efficientâ, and to our core values of Confident, Committed, Compassionate, Innovative, and One., * Assist in installing, programming, and testing systems, servers, workstations, etc.
- Program and commission local systems software
- Software integration with 3rd party systems/equipment
- Create Graphical User Interface (GUI)
- Participates in onsite walk-throughs and customer demonstration
- Conduct owner/end user training
- Maintain future troubleshooting documentation
- Conduct site commissioning
- Respond to service calls including on-call rotations
- Stay current on industry trends to ensure utilization of current products
- Other duties as assigned

Requirements
- Associates degree, or relevant job experience
- Certified in and/or experience with Milestone XProtect VMS
- Certified in and/or experience with Software House CCure 9000
- Understanding of Basic Electrical theory, wiring and electrical operations
- Basic knowledge of the controls concepts and strategies for commercial building Security controls systems
- Basic knowledge of IP Video Surveillance system concepts and strategies
- Basic Knowledge of IP Networks, IP Addressing and Networking components
- Basic Knowledge of Microsoft Server & Client systems including Microsoft SQL Server
- Ability to read Mechanical and Electrical blueprints
- Valid Driverâs License
Physical Requirements
- Ability to travel daily to client locations and work sites
- Level 1: Sedentary Work
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Occasional walking and/or standing on uneven and/or unimproved surfaces
- Must be able to life 15 pounds at time
