Job description
- Test Strategy and Planning: Define and execute the end-to-end testing strategy (functional, integration, regression, performance, and UAT) for WMS deployments, updates, and module enhancements.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and task-manage a team of QA analysts and automation engineers. Coordinate test cycles across distributed teams to align with project roadmaps and deployment schedules.
- System Reliability and Automation: Partner with the SRE lead to improve development efficiency. Collaborate with Site Reliability Engineering teams to define proactive alerts and monitor system stability to prevent operational downtime.
- Defect Management: Maintain robust defect tracking processes. Triage, prioritize, and manage resolution of complex system issues and architectural data blockers with cross-functional development and product teams.
- Progress Reporting: Compile and format structured, detailed reports on WMS system updates, bug fixes, test coverage, and module-specific improvements for project stakeholders.
- UAT Coordination: Partner closely with business stakeholders, warehouse operations managers, and end users to facilitate User Acceptance Testing and secure sign-offs for production rollouts.
Requirements
Seeking an experienced and highly analytical QA Test Lead to drive testing strategy, execution, and quality assurance for a Warehouse Management System (WMS) implementation and continuous optimization program. The lead will manage a team of QA engineers to validate critical WMS modules - including inventory management, receiving, order fulfillment, and shipping - ensuring maximum system reliability, performance, and seamless integration with downstream systems., * Experience: 4+ years in software quality assurance testing, with at least 2+ years in a QA Lead or Test Manager role.
- WMS Expertise: Deep functional knowledge of Tier-1 Warehouse Management Systems (Manhattan WMS / Manhattan Active highly preferred).
- Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of supply chain operations, including receiving, putaway, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory control logic.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Experience with API testing (Postman, SoapUI) and integration testing with ERPs or Material Handling Equipment (MHE).
- Familiarity with test automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, or equivalent).
- Strong SQL skills for backend database validation and inventory auditing.
- Project Management: Proven ability to work in Agile/Scrum environments using tools such as Jira, Confluence, and enterprise test management platforms.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills for drafting project documentation, and a proactive approach to risk management.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leveraging AI tools to accelerate test script generation and development efficiency.
- Background in large-scale enterprise or retail supply chain transformations.
