Job description
Experteer Overview Join Ford’s GDIA Connected Vehicle Data Team to transform vehicle data into actionable business insights. You will build scalable data pipelines and backend services on Google Cloud Platform, enabling data-driven decisions across the enterprise. You’ll collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and product managers to deliver reliable data products. This role blends data engineering, analytics, and UI tooling to empower stakeholders with trustable telemetry insights. You’ll work in a mission-driven environment focused on redefining mobility through data. Compensation / Benefits * Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines on GCP for large-scale vehicle data * Build RESTful APIs and microservices to expose data to internal apps and systems * Create lightweight frontend tools and dashboards to visualize telemetry data * Leverage GCP services (BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, Airflow) and deploy workloads to Cloud Run or GKE * Ensure data quality, validation, testing, and monitoring for high-availability data products * Collaborate with Senior Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and Product Managers to translate business needs into technical solutions Tasks * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field * 1-3 years of professional experience in Software or Data Engineering * Strong programming skills in Python or Java * Proficiency in SQL, relational databases, data modeling, and data warehousing * Experience building and managing ETL/ELT data pipelines * Basic experience developing web applications or APIs; React a plus * Understanding of Docker and Git * Alignment with Ford OS Behaviors (curiosity, teamwork, delivering results) Key requirements * health insurance coverage (medical, dental, vision, prescription) * flexible family care days and parental leave * tuition assistance * vehicle discount program for employees and family * paid time off and holidays * paid community service days
