Job description

Upgrade and integrate third-party Python packages, resolving packaging, compatibility, build, and automated-test failures., * Upgrade Python packages across supported runtime versions.

  • Resolve dependency, API, import, packaging, and test failures.
  • Update package metadata and internal build configuration.
  • Reconcile local patches and diagnose CI/presubmit failures.
  • Validate upgrades and maintain technical documentation.

Requirements

  • Strong Python development and debugging
  • pip/PyPI, wheels, virtual environments, and Python packaging
  • pytest or equivalent testing frameworks
  • Dependency-resolution and version-compatibility experience
  • Git, Linux, scripting, CI/CD, and log analysis
  • Experience maintaining or integrating open-source packages
  • Preferred: setuptools, Poetry, native/C-extension builds, Bazel, Copybara, monorepos, security remediation.
