Job description
Lonestar Electric Supply’s comm data division is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Vendor Relations Coordinator to join our team. Reporting directly to the VP of Comm Data, this role will focus on managing and enhancing relationships with vendors, ensuring seamless procurement, high-quality materials, and favorable terms. Additionally, the Coordinator will assist in updating and maintaining product information in our system, making this role integral to both vendor and product management. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and collaborate across departments., * Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors to support procurement and operational goals.
- Monitor vendor performance, addressing issues and ensuring compliance with agreements and company standards.
- Coordinate and communicate with vendors regarding order status, delivery timelines, and any discrepancies.
- Collaborate with internal teams to understand material and service requirements.
- Negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts with vendors to achieve cost savings and efficiency.
- Assist in the evaluation and onboarding of new vendors, ensuring alignment with company needs and standards.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of vendor agreements, pricing, and performance.
- Assist in updating and managing product information in the company’s system, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Work with internal departments to ensure product data is reflected correctly in our ERP and procurement systems.
- Monitor product updates from vendors and ensure timely integration of changes into our system.
- Support the organization in maintaining an accurate and comprehensive product catalog, ensuring all items meet company standards and pricing structures.
- Generate reports and provide insights on vendor activities, product management, and catalog updates to leadership.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in vendor and product management processes.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Productivity software?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, * High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, or a related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in vendor management, procurement, or a related role.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with procurement and ERP systems.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Knowledge of the electrical supply or distribution industry is a plus.
- Experience managing product data, inventory systems, and product catalogs is preferred.
