Job description

Responsible for the supervision of a quality assurance (QA) team and the identification, documentation and promotion of QA best practices. Establishes software quality standards for life cycle, documentation, development methods, testing and maintenance. Specifies functional and non-functional software testing requirements. Organizes and conducts audits to include program and CMMI PQA audits. Prepares test metrics and Interim Project Reviews (IPRs). Provides oversight to the Quality Assurance Team, prioritizing testing-support related activities, and monitoring all test team objectives.

  • Develops automated test scripts to validate functional, technical, and performance requirements.

  • Work closely with developers, shared services team and product managers to define the automated testing components that will be used to validate requirements against developed software.

  • Work with team members to drive test automation technique.

  • Develop using Java and execute automated tests on both Web Front end and microservice architecture.

  • Run test validations at various levels including DB validation, rules validation, logging validation, reporting validations, and UI validation.

  • Assist with Scrum Team estimation of stories and sizing of effort to include the representation of the test automation and engagement with Continuous Integration (CI) required.

  • Contributes to an atmosphere of cross-functional teamwork within the organizations’ Agile project lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent relevant experience

  • Certified Tester - Advanced Level (TTA, TA, and/or TM) desired

  • Candidate must have minimum 4 years of hands on automated test coding experience using Java (or development experience with C++ or C#

  • Candidates must be US citizens with the ability to pass a government background investigation. No dual citizens.

Other Job Specific Skills

  • Experience required with the following: Continuous Integration (CI) / Continuous Delivery (CD); Behavior Driven Development (Cucumber); Java (including frameworks such as Spring and Springboot).

  • Experience with Serenity and/or Cucumber

  • Experience with Functional Testing, Integration Testing, System Testing, and User Acceptance Testing phases.

  • Experience with REST/SOAP webservices and APIs.

  • Experience with SQL.

Preferred Skills

  • Hands on experience in Open-Source Automated Test Frameworks (e.g. Serenity, Selenium, Cucumber)
