Job description

The IT Cyber Security Administrator is responsible for supporting the organization’s cybersecurity program, compliance initiatives, threat monitoring, and security awareness efforts. This role will work closely with IT leadership, managed service providers, and business stakeholders to strengthen security controls, maintain regulatory compliance, identify vulnerabilities, and promote a security-first culture across the organization. The ideal candidate combines technical security expertise with strong communication, training, and documentation skills., * Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of cybersecurity policies, procedures, and compliance programs.

  • Assist in managing compliance initiatives related to cybersecurity frameworks and government security regulations.
  • Monitor security platforms, alerts, logs, and dashboards to identify suspicious activity, vulnerabilities, and potential threats.
  • Investigate, document, and respond to security incidents in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Conduct security audits, assessments, and reviews of security controls and processes.
  • Partner with technology teams and business departments to ensure compliance with organizational security requirements.
  • Develop and deliver cybersecurity awareness training programs for employees.
  • Administer password management and identity security solutions.
  • Identify security gaps and recommend process, technology, and policy improvements.
  • Maintain documentation related to compliance programs, controls, procedures, and audit requirements.
  • Assist with risk assessments, vulnerability management, and remediation planning efforts.
  • Stay current on cybersecurity trends, emerging threats, technologies, and best practices.

Additional Details

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2-4+ years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, security operations, or a related discipline.
  • Experience monitoring security logs, threat intelligence, security dashboards, and incident response workflows.
  • Knowledge of compliance frameworks and regulatory requirements, particularly CMMC Level 1, CMMC Level 2, DFARS 7012, and/or ITAR.
  • Expertise identifying vulnerabilities, security risks, and threat indicators across enterprise environments.
  • Experience conducting risk assessments, security reviews, and compliance audits.
  • Strong documentation, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Experience delivering user training and promoting security awareness programs.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft-based environments, networks, hardware, software, and infrastructure security.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders., * Experience supporting organizations with 500+ users.
  • Hands-on experience with security monitoring and protection platforms such as SIEM, endpoint detection, identity security, and threat management solutions.
  • Experience administering tools including password management, endpoint security, threat detection, and security awareness platforms.
  • Knowledge of security technologies comparable to Blumira, Blackpoint, SentinelOne, ThreatLocker, and related cybersecurity tools.
  • Experience working with managed service providers and third-party security partners.
  • Security certifications such as Security+, CySA+, CISSP, CISM, or equivalent.
  • Experience developing security metrics, dashboards, and compliance reporting programs.
  • Background in manufacturing, defense, aerospace, engineering, or other regulated industries.
