Principal Enterprise Architect (Azure, Entra ID)

WME is seeking a Principal Enterprise Architect to serve as the senior-most technical architect within Enterprise IT. This is a highly influential individual contributor role responsible for defining and governing enterprise architecture standards, frameworks, policies, reference designs, and long-term technology strategy across the organization. The ideal candidate comes from a strong infrastructure architecture background with expertise across cloud, networking, servers, identity, platform governance, and modernization initiatives. This is not an application architecture, business analysis, or people management role. Success in this position requires a proven track record of establishing enterprise standards, governance models, and architecture frameworks from the ground up, then driving adoption through influence, technical leadership, and strong executive communication.

WME is looking for someone who can define “what good looks like” across the enterprise, create multi-year roadmaps, mentor engineering teams, and help mature the organization’s architecture practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and own enterprise architecture standards, frameworks, policies, and reference architectures.

• Establish governance processes and architecture review practices across the organization.

• Create and maintain multi-year technology roadmaps and modernization strategies.

• Drive cloud, platform, identity, integration, and infrastructure architecture standards.

• Develop and evolve enterprise architecture frameworks based on business and technical needs.

• Lead legacy modernization and API/integration governance initiatives.

• Partner with engineering leadership to improve architectural maturity and consistency across teams.

• Mentor senior engineers and architects while influencing technical direction across the organization.

• Present architecture decisions, tradeoffs, and recommendations to leadership and executive stakeholders.

• Help define and govern enterprise AI architecture standards and best practices.

• 12+ years of architecture and engineering experience.

• Enterprise or Principal Architect experience with organization-wide scope.

• Deep expertise in cloud architecture (Azure), infrastructure, networking, and identity (Entra ID).

• Experience creating architecture standards, governance processes, and technical roadmaps.

• Legacy modernization and integration/API governance experience.

• Strong understanding of security, risk, and enterprise technology strategy.
