Job description
Join our corporate IT team as a Senior System Administrator specializing in Linux and cloud operations. In this high-impact role, you’ll ensure the reliability, security, and performance of mission-critical Business and Engineering systems, including the Windchill (PLM) infrastructure, within a leading aerospace environment.
This role is hybrid, with onsite collaboration 1 day a week in our East Aurora, NY location.
Your role will encompass:
- Linux Administration: Maintain and optimize enterprise Linux systems, ensuring high performance, availability, and security.
- Azure Cloud: Support and sustain cloud-based solutions, solve complex infrastructure challenges, and optimize resource utilization.
- Windchill PLM Infrastructure Management: Oversee performance, upgrades, and support for Windchill to help engineers and business teams operate efficiently.
- Business & Engineering Systems Support: Provide end-to-end support for IT systems critical to engineering and business workflows.
- Performance & Incident Management: Analyze and resolve system issues promptly, minimizing downtime and ensuring operational reliability.
- Collaboration with cross-functional teams to support new initiatives and improve system performance.
Requirements
- US Citizenship (as required by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations - ITAR)
- 4+ years’ experience as a Linux System Administrator in a large, regulated environment
- Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent experience
- Aerospace or manufacturing industry experience is preferred
- Experience with Azure Cloud administration, including IaaS/PaaS operations and automation (Preferred: PowerShell, Azure CLI)
- Hands-on knowledge of Windchill (PLM) infrastructure; experience with related system upgrades and integrations a plus
- Solid understanding of IT operations supporting engineering systems (e.g., CAD/PLM tools)
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills in large-scale IT environments
- Strong troubleshooting, scripting, and ITIL-based incident management abilities
- Excellent communication skills-confident working across IT and business functions

Compensation & Benefits:
- Base salary: $80,000 through $120,000, influenced by several factors including experience, skill set, education, certifications, market conditions, and business needs.
