Job description

The Project Manager, Level II provides outstanding project management to our clients by planning and executing Slipstream project management methodologies. Key to the role are excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong leadership skills and interpersonal skills. Project Manager, Level II must be capable of multitasking and be able to easily adapt to changing circumstances. The role operates with a high level of interactive communication, demonstrating high levels of inclusion and cultural sensitivity. Partner with business, technical and administrative team members to deliver high-quality project artifacts that meet established project management standards, and business solution needs is essential. The ability to listen to complex technical, business and project discussions; capture the actions and discussions in a clear, complete and well written manner is critical for success in the role. An innate sense of urgency and a natural aptitude for detail orientation are required., * Project Manager, Level II is responsible for the project plan, budget, structure, schedule and staffing requirements for assigned projects.

  • A thorough understanding of agile SDLC methodologies and the project manager’s role in it including prioritization, technical and project risk assessment, estimation, project timelines, value-based change control etc
  • Manage risks and notify the appropriate client and leadership teams regarding deviations from approved models/core solutions.
  • Create and manage project artifacts in prescribed tools (Smartsheet, ServiceNow, and JIRA (Cloud-based tools)) with detail and precision.
  • Present complex data and solutions in a concise manner to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Facilitate and lead meetings with stakeholders, vendors and clients, as well as internal team members to identify project, functional and technical requirements.
  • Ability to plan and manage their own and other team members’ activities to meet deliverables and deadlines.
  • Be an effective communicator with business and technical audiences, able to present complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders in both written and verbal formats.
  • Excellent writing and editorial skills, ability to process large amounts of information and/or data and distill them into relevant messages.
  • The responsibilities include:
  • overall coordination leading to the successful completion of approved projects
  • tracking project specific timelines, budgets, and risks
  • maintaining detailed project plans in Smartsheet
  • accurate budget forecasting and actual cost tracking
  • risk/issue tracking and mitigation
  • scheduling and facilitation of team/subteam/steering committee meetings
  • acting on client’s behalf when dealing with third party vendors
  • complying with all IT PMO policies and procedures for project planning, execution and closeout

Requirements

  • Degree in business or computer sciences or a related field required.
  • Minimum 5-7 Years project management covering systems such as Data Warehousing, Master Data Management and Business Intelligence Reporting.
  • Strong Microsoft Office computer skills (Word, Excel, PPT, Visio).
  • Ability to articulate complex concepts in a simple and coherent manner both verbally and written
  • Proven experience of working with complex integrated systems, using creative and strategic thinking to deliver exceptional results
  • Strong ability to listen to discussion and capture requirements in meaningful, precise manner that can be understood by both technical and non-technical participants.
  • Ability to present concepts and lead discussions on design issues with authority and poise. This is a client-facing role.
  • Exceptional critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail both in written and action tasks.
  • Strong ability to work independently and adhere to timelines.
  • Experience of virtual collaboration to lead, shape and develop innovative solutions
  • Experience of working with and managing third party suppliers/vendors
  • Experience managing client relationships and negotiating positive outcomes

Work Location: Place of employment is Remote. Business casual attire is required. For any remote meetings, all employees are required to be on-camera with appropriate business casual attire and Slipstream virtual background. Appropriate transportation is needed to be on-site.

Work Schedule: Typical schedule will be Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Must be flexible to accommodate departmental needs. At times, overtime maybe needed to accomplish deliverables which could include evenings or weekend hours.

Physical Requirements: This position requires the ability to remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods. The ability to move about to accomplish tasks. Adjusting or moving objects up to 20 pounds in all directions. Communicating verbally and written word with others to exchange information. Exposure to a standard office environment with average room temperatures with no adverse environmental conditions expected. Ability to travel within the continental USA via plane or car required.
