Job description

We are looking for an experienced Ab Initio Developer with strong SQL skills to design, develop, and maintain ETL/data integration solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Ab Initio components, data processing, data warehousing, and complex SQL queries., * Design, develop, test, and maintain ETL workflows using Ab Initio.

  • Develop and optimize Ab Initio graphs using components such as Rollup, Scan, Join, Reformat, Sort, Partition, Lookup, and Normalize.
  • Write complex and optimized SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, validation, and reconciliation.
  • Work with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL.
  • Develop data integration and data transformation processes for large-volume datasets.
  • Perform data mapping, data validation, reconciliation, and troubleshooting.
  • Analyze performance issues and optimize Ab Initio graphs and SQL queries.
  • Work with business analysts and data teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Participate in unit testing, integration testing, production deployment, and post-production support.
  • Troubleshoot ETL failures, data quality issues, and production incidents.
  • Maintain technical documentation for ETL processes and workflows.
  • Follow coding standards, version control, and development best practices.

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on experience with Ab Initio development.
  • Strong knowledge of Ab Initio Co>Operating System and GDE.
  • Good understanding of ETL concepts and data warehousing.
  • Strong SQL skills, including complex joins, subqueries, CTEs, analytical functions, and performance tuning.
  • Experience working with Oracle / SQL Server / PostgreSQL or similar relational databases.
  • Good understanding of data modeling, data transformation, and data quality.
  • Experience with Unix/Linux commands and shell scripting.
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Ab Initio Control Center (EME).
  • Knowledge of Unix/Linux shell scripting.
  • Experience with scheduling tools such as Control-M.
  • Knowledge of Git, Jenkins, or other CI/CD tools.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform is a plus.
  • Exposure to Big Data technologies such as Hadoop/Spark is a plus.

Experience
