Job description
- Document and update security controls. prepare detailed system security plans, configuration management plans, contingency plans, and business risk assessments to ensure the plan details meet the mandatory requirements as outlined and governed by NIST 800-53.
- Provide consulting to key stakeholders regarding security requirements and how information security risks affect information systems.
- Work with our management team to identify new risks and potential mitigants. In addition, share risk information with peers and the Enterprise Risk Management Unit to identify and manage systemic risks across the Division.
- Manage multiple project plans for information system security reviews
- Automate manual process by leveraging current technologies.
- Assist with information security awareness and training for the 8th District. This includes coordinating/conducting local, remote, and virtual training sessions, acting as an 8th District representative for national initiatives, writing articles for publications, and driving training completion results.
- Review reports for compliance and following up with users, escalating potentially for issues of non-compliance or activity.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, CyberSecurity, Computer Science or similar fields of study or commensurate experience
- 1 year related experience and a combination of the following:
- Knowledge of Active Directory and Outlook environments and standards
- Basic knowledge of patches and security vulnerabilities
- Understanding of Microsoft File system permissions - best practices, inheritance, auditing, and ownership
- Ability to create and modify procedural documentation
- Ability to track work through Remedy or Jira tickets
- Travel (5%)
- US Citizen

Salary: $68,500 - $85,600
