Job description

Position Description: Provide systems engineering and technical assistance (SETA) support to Marine Corps Long-Range Fires efforts at the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO)

  • Support the integration of the NRO C2 Operations in Denied Environments (CODE) communications architecture within USMC radios, platforms and systems
  • Support integration with Navy’s Beyond Line-of-Sight (BLOS) Engagement Controller and Manager (BECM)
  • Provide technical support to plan and execute BLOS strike demonstrations and test events
  • Support migration of resilient, BLOS Command and Control (C2) communications capabilities into LEO constellations
  • Originate concepts/plans for USMC and Joint programs to incorporate National Overhead Systems data and technologies to enhance Long-Range Fires capabilities
  • Liaise with the Service Requirements Offices and Combatant Commands as needed
  • Provide Subject Matter Expertise to enable U.S. long-range Kill Chains

Requirements

  • Independent, Forward-Thinker who works well with a small Team
  • Familiarity with the DoW requirements and/or acquisition processes
  • Experience supporting IC or DoW programs to develop, test and operationalize capabilities
  • Experience with C4ISRT needed for Over-the-Horizon Targeting (OTH-T)
  • Current Top Secret/SCI clearance. (If selected, CI Polygraph will be required)

Desired/Preferred Experience:

  • Information Warfare Coordination Center (IWCC), MAGTF, TOC, AOC or MOC
  • USMC Tactical Edge Node-Expeditionary (TEN-X)
  • Maritime Targeting Cell - Afloat/Expeditionary (MTC-A/X)
  • USMC High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS) knowledge
  • Tactical Data Links (e.g., Link-16) and/or Integrated Broadcast Service (IBS)
  • Long-Range Anti-Ship Missile (LRASM), Joint Air-to-Surface Standoff Missile (JASSM) or other long-range strike weapons
  • End-to-end CONOPs for sending Inflight Target Updates (IFTUs)
  • Low-observable Communications operational or technical experience
  • Familiarity with Navy’s Long-Range Networked Fires Office (LRNFO)
  • Combat Operations experience, esp. involving Long-Range Strike Operations
  • Retired military or military reservist preferred (Marine preferred), * Bachelor’s (Required)

Experience:

  • Technical : 8 years (Required)

License/Certification:

  • Top Secret/SCI clearance or DCID eligibility for SCI access? (Required)
