Job description
The Chief Information Officer will serve as the senior executive responsible for enterprise technology strategy, digital transformation, information security governance, technology operations, and the modernization of platforms that support business growth, operational resilience, client experience, and regulatory trust. In a financial services environment, this leader must balance innovation with disciplined risk management, ensuring that technology investments strengthen competitiveness while meeting the highest standards for security, compliance, availability, and data integrity., * Enterprise Technology Strategy: Define and execute a multi-year technology roadmap aligned to corporate strategy, growth priorities, client needs, operational efficiency, and regulatory expectations.
- Digital Transformation: Lead modernization of core platforms, applications, infrastructure, cloud capabilities, data architecture, automation, and AI-enabled business processes.
- Cybersecurity and Risk Governance: Partner with security, risk, compliance, legal, and audit leaders to maintain a strong control environment across cybersecurity, data protection, access management, incident response, business continuity, disaster recovery, and third-party technology risk.
- Operational Resilience: Ensure reliable, scalable, and secure technology services across enterprise systems, client-facing platforms, networks, infrastructure, service management, and end-user support.
- Regulatory Compliance: Oversee technology practices that support financial services regulatory obligations, including data privacy, recordkeeping, vendor oversight, operational risk, audit readiness, and governance documentation.
- Data and AI Enablement: Advance enterprise data strategy, analytics, responsible AI adoption, data governance, and decision-support capabilities while ensuring appropriate controls and ethical use of technology.
- Investment and Portfolio Management: Manage capital and operating budgets, prioritize the technology portfolio, evaluate return on investment, and ensure disciplined execution of large-scale programs.
- Vendor and Partner Management: Lead strategic technology sourcing, vendor negotiations, outsourcing relationships, cloud providers, fintech partnerships, and service-level accountability.
- Leadership and Talent Development: Build, develop, and retain a high-performing technology organization with strong succession planning, modern engineering practices, accountability, and collaboration across business lines.
- Executive and Board Communication: Present technology strategy, risk posture, transformation progress, operating metrics, and investment recommendations to executive leadership and the Board., * Strategic Business Partner: Connects technology decisions directly to enterprise strategy, financial performance, client outcomes, and competitive differentiation.
- Risk-Minded Innovator: Drives modernization and experimentation while maintaining rigorous security, compliance, privacy, and operational resiliency standards.
- Enterprise Influencer: Builds credibility across executive leadership, business units, technology teams, vendors, regulators, and governance stakeholders.
- Transformation Leader: Leads complex change with clarity, accountability, transparency, and measurable execution discipline.
- Talent Builder: Develops leaders, strengthens technical capability, improves team performance, and creates an inclusive culture of ownership and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- A minimum of 15 years of progressive technology leadership experience, including senior executive responsibility for enterprise IT, digital transformation, infrastructure, applications, data, or cybersecurity.
- Significant experience in financial services, fintech, banking, asset management, wealth management, insurance, payments, or another highly regulated environment.
- Proven success leading enterprise-scale technology modernization, cloud migration, platform rationalization, system integration, or digital product enablement.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity, operational resilience, business continuity, disaster recovery, technology risk, third-party risk, and regulatory compliance expectations in financial services.
- Demonstrated experience managing large technology budgets, complex vendor ecosystems, and multi-year transformation portfolios.
- Executive-level communication skills with the ability to translate complex technology, risk, and investment topics into clear business implications.
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, engineering, business, or a related field., * Master’s degree, MBA, or advanced technical degree.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, PMP, ITIL, or cloud architecture credentials.
- Experience presenting to Boards, regulators, auditors, or governance committees.
- Experience with AI governance, modern data platforms, automation, digital client experience, and emerging financial technology ecosystems.
- Track record of leading cultural change within technology organizations, including agile delivery, product operating models, engineering excellence, and measurable business outcomes.
