Job description

Insight Global is looking for a Tier 2 Help Desk Support professional to serve as an escalation point for complex technical issues while maintaining production systems, networks, and access controls. This individual will troubleshoot and resolve advanced support requests, deploy patches and system updates, create and maintain technical documentation, perform QA testing, assist with security initiatives, conduct risk assessments, and mentor junior team members. They will also proactively identify process improvements, system vulnerabilities, and operational efficiencies while ensuring all work is completed within established SLAs and deadlines.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of professional Software Development experience
  • 5+ years developing within Data General, AS400, MICOS, and/or Mainframe environments
  • 4+ years creating technical documentation (user stories, use cases, bug fixes, system documentation, etc.)
  • 3+ years utilizing software version control tools
  • 1+ year providing technical training or mentorship
  • Experience troubleshooting and resolving escalated Tier 2 support tickets
  • Experience administering networks, production systems, and user access controls
  • Expertise with software deployment technologies and version control systems

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years developing with SQL, Oracle Forms, Next.js, and/or React.js
  • Security experience including risk assessments, risk management, and incident response
  • Quality Assurance testing experience (unit, regression, stress, data validation, etc.)
  • Experience creating process workflows, networking diagrams, and training materials
