Job description

Are you a hands-on technical leader who enjoys developing new technologies, solving complex manufacturing challenges, and turning innovative ideas into production-ready solutions?

Schneller is seeking a Technology Development Manager to lead technology development initiatives and help advance our manufacturing capabilities within the aviation industry.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and develop a technical team while providing hands-on engineering leadership.
  • Evaluate and implement new manufacturing technologies, equipment, and processes.
  • Lead projects from concept and experimentation through scale-up and production implementation.
  • Troubleshoot complex manufacturing, equipment, process, and product issues.
  • Use data and experimentation to improve process capability, quality, safety, and productivity.
  • Partner with R&D, Engineering, Quality, Operations, and other teams to drive technology and process improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics, or a related technical field.
  • Progressive experience in manufacturing, engineering, technology development, or process development.
  • Experience leading technical projects and people; supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
  • Strong hands-on troubleshooting and problem-solving skills involving manufacturing equipment and processes.
  • Experience with industrial automation and process control technologies is preferred, including PLC-based control systems, HMI/SCADA interfaces, industrial sensors and instrumentation, and platforms such as Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation, FactoryTalk, and Inductive Automation Ignition.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using data to understand systems and improve processes.
  • A self-starter who enjoys learning new technologies, taking ownership, and working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to lead and collaborate across functions.
  • To conform with US export regulations and ITAR 120.15 and EAR Part 772, incumbents for this role must be eligible for any required authorizations from the US government.
