Job description

Join University Health and play a vital leadership role in protecting one of South Texas’ premier academic health systems. As the Supervisor, Registration & Identity, you will lead the daily operations of the organization’s enterprise Identity & Access Management (IAM) program, overseeing the secure issuance, management, and lifecycle of identity credentials, physical access assets, and key and lock infrastructure across a large, complex healthcare environment.

This highly visible leadership position is responsible for ensuring operational continuity, regulatory compliance, and the integrity of security-sensitive access management processes that support employees, physicians, contractors, students, and visitors. The Supervisor leads a high-performing team responsible for delivering exceptional customer service while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy, accountability, and security.

Success in this role requires strong leadership, exceptional attention to detail, advanced technical proficiency, and the ability to oversee complex security workflows where precision is essential. The Supervisor ensures that identity credentials, access privileges, and physical security assets are issued, maintained, tracked, and audited in strict compliance with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and life safety standards.

In addition to supervising daily operations, this leader provides oversight, coaching, and quality assurance for all customer-facing identity and access management activities, ensuring consistent service delivery, operational excellence, and continuous process improvement across a high-volume healthcare environment. This position plays a critical role in safeguarding organizational assets while supporting the mission of delivering exceptional patient care through secure, reliable, and compliant access management practices.
