Senior Data Engineering/Technical Lead

As a Senior Data Engineering, you will make an impact by designing, building and deploying scalable analytics solutions and data models on cloud platforms for a major retail client. You will be a valued member of the engineering delivery team and work collaboratively with technical program managers, client stakeholders, technical leads and development teams to translate business requirements into reliable, production-ready solutions.

In this role, you will:

· Lead the design and implementation of effective analytics solutions and data models deployed on cloud platforms such as Azure or Google Cloud Platform.

· Analyse business requirements, recommend technical solutions and confidently lead discussions with technical program managers, technical leads and client stakeholders.

· Build high-quality applications and data pipelines using industry coding standards, strong engineering practices and unit testing aligned to project coverage expectations.

· Ensure developed features are properly tested, released and deployed successfully into production environments.

· Implement monitoring solutions aligned to client recommendations and operational best practices.

· Document technical designs, service specifications and implementation details while guiding developers in preparing functional and technical specifications.

· 7+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering, analytics engineering or related software engineering roles.

· Strong experience with PySpark, Scala, Advanced SQL and Python.

· Experience building and managing Airflow pipelines and cloud-based analytics solutions.
