Sr. Platform Infrastructure Engineer

Experteer Overview As Senior Platform Infrastructure Engineer, you design, deploy, and operate production-grade platforms across AWS and on-premise environments for commercial and defense customers. You act as both architect and operator to scale cloud and hardware deployments, automate delivery, and improve reliability. You’ll partner with software teams to harden deployments, support operational readiness, and guide platform roadmaps. This is a mission-driven role shaping the backbone for autonomous systems and real-time geospatial operations. Compensation / Benefits * Design and maintain AWS-based production infrastructure * Deploy and support customer-owned on-premise environments * Build repeatable deployment automation for cloud and hardware installations * Develop Infrastructure-as-Code standards for AWS and customer environments * Collaborate with software teams to improve deployment reliability * Support release engineering and production operations * Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, networking, and platform issues * Implement security best practices across cloud and on-prem environments * Support vulnerability remediation and compliance initiatives * Participate in architecture reviews and platform roadmap planning * Support customer-facing deployment and operational readiness activities Tasks * 7+ years in DevOps, Infrastructure/Platform/SRE roles * Experience deploying and operating production workloads in AWS * Experience supporting Linux-based infrastructure * Experience with Kubernetes and containerized applications * Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred) * Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines * Experience deploying and operating physical infrastructure (servers, storage, networking, virtualization) * Strong troubleshooting and operational support skills * U.S. Citizenship * Security clearance eligibility (preferred) Key requirements * 401(k) with company match * mental health resources * student loan repayment assistance * adoption reimbursement * pet insurance * incentive eligible compensation
