Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) Air Dominance Proprietary AM-H Digital Infrastructure Segment (DIS) is seeking a Data Science & Analytics Manager to lead Engineering Data Science team located in Hazelwood, MO. This team is responsible to define, develop and deploy predictive/prescriptive analytic solutions to meet program objectives in regards to the development of products and manufacturing processes. The AM-H DIS Data Science and Analytics Engineering manager will work collaboratively across the program and also across the enterprise with personnel from IT&DA, the Software Engineering AI organization, and BDS DA&DI organizations. The team will consist of engineering data scientists and systems engineers. The team will work with LLMs and develop ML algorithms and data visualizations in conjunction with data scientists from the broader organization.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manage employees performing engineering and technical activities in the fields of Data Science and Systems Engineering
  • Develop and execute business plans, policies and procedures and develop organizational and technical strategies
  • Acquire resources, provide technical management of suppliers and lead process improvements
  • Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
  • Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
  • Manage, develop and motivate employees

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at Hazelwood, MO.

Travel may be required up to 10% of the time; Domestically depending on business needs.

This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, mathematics, computer science, or related technical discipline
  • 7+ years of related-work experience
  • Experience leading projects
  • Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership.”

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience working in the field of data-science
  • Prior experience managing people
