Job description

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Specialist, Systems Engineer/Architect. The ideal candidate is responsible for the daily technical and operational activities of a high-performance System Integration Laboratory (SIL) environment supporting advanced airborne ISR ground exploitation systems. This role combines hands-on technical oversight, upgrade, installation and maintenance of the system. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related systems engineering experience. \n

  • Graduate Degree or equivalent with 2 years of prior related systems engineering experience. \n

  • In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 8 years of prior related systems engineering experience. \n

  • Demonstrated understanding of hardware test strategies, fault isolation, automated tests, use of diagnostic test equipment, and generating and interpreting test requirements., * Demonstrated experience in systems engineering, systems architecture, systems analysis and design, system performance modeling, integration, and/or model-based systems engineering.

  • Interfaces with the supervisor, customer, software development engineers, project engineering, and program management to determine SIL architecture and support requirements. \n

  • Assists in planning / executing periodic SIL upgrades to new equipment and software configurations. \n

  • Review and evaluate system diagrams to ensure design details trace to system requirements. \n

  • Understand physical architecture incorporating voice and data capability across multiple security domains. \n

  • Install, test, troubleshoot, and verify system upgrades and system infrastructure to meet customer performance expectations. \n

  • Translate the voice of the customer into system level requirements. \n

  • Understand test, integration, verification, and validation planning. \n

  • Author and execute effective verification test procedures ensuring system performance and capabilities meet system requirements. \n

  • Perform hands-on test, integration, and verification of software and/or hardware. \n

  • Monitors ongoing test/integration activities and provides technical support, troubleshooting and recommendations for repair or replacement of defective or outdated equipment. \n

  • Familiar with installation and configuration of Virtual Machines (VMs) in a Linux environment. \n

  • Starts up all SIL equipment and verifies system readiness for testing. \n

  • Excellent written, oral, and presentation communications skills. \n

  • Candidate must be willing and able to work a flexible job schedule to include occasional overtime. \n

  • Candidate must be willing to travel both CONUS and OCONUS up to 10% of the time. \n

  • The candidate will be required to obtain and maintain CompTIA Security+ certification. \n

  • Active Secret Clearance at the time of hire with the ability to obtain a Top Secret with SCI. \n
