Senior Systems Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will design, develop, and deploy custom automated test systems, manufacturing automation applications, control systems, and research and development tools. You’ll work closely with clients throughout the project lifecycle, from defining requirements to deploying complete solutions, while collaborating with a multidisciplinary engineering team., * Design, develop, and maintain high-quality LabVIEW software applications.

• Develop automated test systems, control systems, and assembly automation solutions.
• Partner directly with clients to gather requirements and define project scope.
• Select and specify hardware components for custom automation systems.
• Integrate software with a wide variety of instrumentation, controls, and hardware platforms.
• Install, commission, and validate systems at customer locations, primarily throughout the Twin Cities metro area.
• Create validation, verification, and technical documentation.
• Lead projects independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative engineering team.
• Manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
• Maintain strong client relationships throughout project execution.
• Support sales activities and account management as needed (optional).

• Experience developing automation software in LabVIEW for production or engineering environments.
• Familiarity with LabVIEW Object-Oriented Programming (LVOOP), the Queued Message Handler (QMH) design pattern, and instrument communication using VISA.
• Experience creating LabVIEW applications used by other engineers, technicians, or operators.
• Willingness to follow established coding standards and development best practices.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills., * Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5-10 years of engineering experience, preferably in the medical device, aerospace/defense, or automotive industries.
• Experience working in a consulting or customer-facing engineering environment.
• NI Certified LabVIEW Developer (CLD) or Certified LabVIEW Architect (CLA) certification.
• Experience with NI TestStand.
• Experience with additional programming languages such as SQL, C/C++, Python, C#, Java, or Node.js.
• Experience integrating instrumentation, motion control, data acquisition, or industrial automation systems.
