Job description

B&D is committed to advancing employee rights, and the Paralegal/Data Analyst is a critical part of the team. The Paralegal/Data Analyst organizes data, calculates damages owed to employees, reviews and audits time and attendance records to determine value of pay errors and works with third party Claims Administrator to oversee distribution of settlements funds to employees, among other data tasks. Microsoft Excel experience and math skills are essential! The Paralegal/Data Analyst also creates forms to collect information from unions and employees using platforms such as SurveyMonkey.

The Paralegal/Data Analyst also has several administrative responsibilities, including managing case files, which are generally voluminous and often involve hundreds of client-employees; editing and formatting documents and court filings; organizing materials for attorneys; helping attorneys with document review and arbitration and deposition preparation; responding to client questions by phone and e-mail; interview and gather information from clients and witnesses; and offering general office support, as needed including managing and recording cash flow transactions, processing payroll, and working with vendors.

Requirements

Experience working in an office is preferable. A successful candidate must have a bachelor’s degree and should be:

· Highly organized with excellent time management skills and a strong worth ethic;

· Analytical and an effective trouble-shooter with keen attention to detail;

· Able to manage concurrent tasks;

· Proficient with Microsoft Excel as well as computer systems, word processing, Internet research, and other related information technologies; and

· Personable – experience with client contact or customer relations will be given special consideration.
