Job description

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive digital literacy curriculum that aligns with educational standards and meets the diverse needs of students.
  • Teach students essential skills such as online research, digital communication, cybersecurity, and responsible social media use.
  • Integrate technology into various subject areas, collaborating with teachers to enhance instructional practices and promote digital citizenship.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their growth in digital literacy skills.
  • Organize and facilitate workshops, seminars, and training sessions for students, parents, and staff on digital tools and resources.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in digital literacy, adapting the curriculum as needed to ensure relevance and effectiveness.
  • Foster a safe and inclusive learning environment that encourages students to express themselves and engage in discussions about technology and its impact.
  • Collaborate with school administration and staff to promote digital literacy initiatives and support the school’s overall educational goals.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices and stay informed about best practices in digital education.

Requirements

Canyon Ridge High School is seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Digital Literacy Instructor. This full-time position is designed for an innovative educator who is committed to enhancing students’ digital skills and fostering a culture of responsible technology use. The ideal candidate will empower students to navigate the digital world effectively, encouraging critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration while integrating technology into their learning experiences., * Bachelor’s degree in Education, Information Technology, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.

  • Valid teaching certification or license in the state of Idaho.
  • Proven experience in teaching digital literacy or related subjects at the secondary school level.
  • Strong understanding of digital tools, resources, and platforms used in education.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students.
  • Familiarity with current trends in technology, digital citizenship, and online safety.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, students, and parents to create a supportive learning environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Commitment to continuous professional growth and development in the field of digital literacy.

Employment is contingent upon board approval and successful completion of federal background check and drug-free workplace pre-employment screening.
