Azure Data Solutions Architect

We are seeking an experienced Azure Data Solutions Architect with deep expertise in Azure Databricks to design, implement, and govern enterprise-scale modern data platforms. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Azure data services, Lakehouse architecture, and AI-driven data solutions, including Azure OpenAI, RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), Agentic AI, and LLM-based applications. This is a senior architecture role partnering with engineering, product, and security teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance data platforms supporting analytics, business intelligence, machine learning, and Generative AI initiatives. Key Responsibilities Design and implement enterprise-scale Azure Lakehouse and modern data platform architectures. Architect solutions using Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Synapse Analytics, Microsoft Fabric, Delta Lake, and Unity Catalog. Lead architecture and implementation of Agentic AI, LLM-powered applications, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions. Build scalable data pipelines supporting analytics, reporting, AI, and machine learning workloads. Develop AI solutions using Azure OpenAI Service, Azure AI Studio Prompt Flow, LangChain, and Semantic Kernel. Design and optimize vector search solutions using Azure AI Search Vector, Databricks Vector Search, and Delta Lake. Implement governance, security, lineage, and model lifecycle management using Unity Catalog and MLflow. Design streaming and real-time data solutions using Azure Event Hubs, Kafka, and Databricks Structured Streaming. Establish CI/CD pipelines for data engineering and AI/LLM applications. Implement Responsible AI practices, security controls, content filtering, PII protection, and prompt security.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver enterprise-grade cloud data solutions. Required Skills 15+ years of Data Engineering/Data Architecture experience. Strong expertise in Azure Databricks and Azure Data Platform technologies. Hands-on experience with: Azure Data Factory (ADF) Azure Synapse Analytics Microsoft Fabric Delta Lake Unity Catalog Experience designing enterprise Lakehouse and hybrid Data Warehouse architectures. Strong knowledge of Azure OpenAI, Agentic AI, and LLM application development. Practical experience implementing RAG solutions, embedding models, vector search, chunking strategies, reranking, and retrieval evaluation. Experience with Azure AI Search Vector and Databricks Vector Search. Expertise with MLflow, Model Registry, and AI model lifecycle management. Experience building autonomous AI agents using tool/function calling and workflow orchestration. Knowledge of Responsible AI, governance, observability, evaluation frameworks, and prompt engineering. Experience with streaming technologies such as Azure Event Hubs and Kafka. Familiarity with BI tools including Power BI, Looker, and Tableau. Strong understanding of Azure cost optimization, governance, and cloud security.
