Job description

FRDA is seeking a highly technical Project Manager to lead and support a 7-person Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) team. This role combines traditional project and contract management responsibilities with hands-on cyber threat intelligence leadership, technical analysis, and analyst mentorship.

The successful candidate will spend approximately 50% of their time managing contract execution, team operations, customer engagement, and project delivery, and 50% serving as a senior cyber threat intelligence practitioner responsible for intelligence production, analytical oversight, technical guidance, and process improvement.

This is not a traditional administrative project management role. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cyber threat intelligence analysis, intelligence reporting, analytic methodologies, and data-driven investigations. They should be capable of reviewing and improving intelligence products, guiding analysts through complex investigations, and leveraging technical tools, databases, and code to support intelligence operations., Project and Contract Management (50%)

  • Lead day-to-day execution of a 7-person cyber threat intelligence contract team.
  • Serve as the primary interface between the customer, company leadership, and technical team.
  • Manage contract performance, deliverables, schedules, staffing, risks, and customer expectations.
  • Establish project priorities, milestones, and performance metrics aligned with mission objectives.
  • Monitor team workload, resource allocation, and operational effectiveness.

Technical Cyber Threat Intelligence Leadership (50%)

  • Act as the senior technical lead and subject matter expert for cyber threat intelligence operations.
  • Review, edit, and approve intelligence reports, assessments, briefings, and analytic products.
  • Apply structured analytic techniques and intelligence methodologies.
  • Conduct complex threat investigations.
  • Provide technical oversight and mentorship to analysts.

Technical Tools and Development

  • Utilize scripting and programming skills to automate analytic workflows.
  • Work directly with databases, APIs, data repositories, and intelligence platforms.
  • Assist analysts in troubleshooting technical challenges.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and develop technical solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, Intelligence Studies, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum five (5) years of project/program management experience supporting cybersecurity, intelligence, or technical programs.
  • Minimum five (5) years of hands-on cyber threat intelligence or cybersecurity experience.
  • Experience producing, reviewing, and editing intelligence reports.
  • Proficiency with CTI platforms, investigation tools, and enterprise data repositories.
  • Experience with Python, SQL, PowerShell, or other scripting languages.
  • Experience working with APIs, databases, and large datasets., * Experience leading CTI, Cyber Fusion Center, SOC, or Intelligence Operations teams.
  • Knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK, Diamond Model, Kill Chain, and Structured Analytic Techniques.
  • Experience with Recorded Future, ThreatConnect, OpenCTI, or similar tools.
  • PMP, CISSP, GCTI, GCFA, GCIH, or related certifications.
  • Experience supporting government or regulated environments., The ideal candidate is a technical cyber threat intelligence leader who can simultaneously manage a contract, lead analysts, review intelligence products, and engage directly with the tools and data used by the team.
