QA Automation Engineer

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for web, API, service-level, integration, and end-to-end testing using C# and Selenium WebDriver
• Validate application behavior beyond the UI service responses, data transformations, event flows, and downstream system impacts
• Assist with solutions to validate complex scenarios at a code or infrastructure level
• Analyze automation failures, identify root causes, reduce test flakiness, and improve automation reliability
• Investigate complex application, automation, data, integration, and environment issues using logs, metrics, traces, and telemetry
• Determine root cause of issues (database, file systems, etc.) and work with Development teams to resolve them
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and ensure results provide meaningful feedback for build/deploy/release decisions
• Support release readiness activities with clear test results, risk indicators, and quality recommendations
• Support planned production releases and critical off-hours deployments as needed
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities; must be a quick learner
• Soft skills: strong communication, presentation, documentation, and team coordination; must be flexible for urgent quality-related tasks

• Candidate with at least 7+ years of experience in software testing, test automation, or quality engineering
• Strong hands-on programming experience in C#
• Experience with Selenium WebDriver (web UI automation) and API automation (REST/SOAP)
• Relevant automation experience to understand existing frameworks and scale up quickly to create/debug scripts
• Experience creating new automation frameworks from scratch (web, API, service-level, and end-to-end)
• Strong SQL and data validation experience across systems
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or TeamCity)
• Mortgage, Financial Services, Lending, or other regulated-industry domain knowledge is a plus, * Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) a software tester who can code and writes test code against product/application code
• 7+ years of test automation experience using C#, Selenium WebDriver, and API automation
• Strong experience with API testing, service-level validation, integration testing, and end-to-end workflow validation (REST/SOAP)
• Experience with Acceptance Test Driven Development (ATDD) and BDD o Hands-on experience with cross-browser UI testing and responsive design testing
• Experience working in a CI/CD environment for executing automated tests (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or TeamCity)
• Experience with test management/defect tracking tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, or Confluence
• Strong understanding of SDLC, agile delivery, release validation, and quality engineering principles
• Continuously improve the test process by identifying and implementing best practices, tools, and techniques
• Provide timely and accurate reports on testing progress and results to stakeholders
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to navigate and resolve reported issues

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
• Experience with performance, resiliency, security, accessibility, or contract testing
• Experience with observability tools/production telemetry to troubleshoot and improve coverage
• Experience with AI-assisted testing tools for test design, automation, or defect analysis
• Experience with distributed systems, microservices, or event-driven architectures
