Job description

We are looking for an Embedded Hardware Test Engineer to support verification and validation of hardware systems through board-level and system-level testing. The role involves creating and executing test protocols, working with laboratory equipment, troubleshooting test failures, and preparing detailed test reports., * Execute board-level and system-level verification testing.

  • Review product requirements, schematics, engineering documentation, and test procedures.
  • Configure and execute laboratory test setups.
  • Perform electrical measurements, collect test data, and document results.
  • Create test records, execution reports, and supporting documentation.
  • Investigate and document test failures, anomalies, and observations.
  • Support design verification and validation activities.
  • Collaborate with Electrical, Firmware, Mechanical, Systems, Quality, and Regulatory Engineering teams.
  • Communicate testing progress, issues, and risks to project stakeholders.
  • Maintain compliance with laboratory and quality documentation requirements.

Requirements

  • System and hardware testing experience
  • Medical device experience is preferred
  • Test protocol creation, execution, and test report preparation
  • Hands-on laboratory experience with electro-mechanical devices
  • Strong analog and digital electronics knowledge
  • Experience with oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, signal generators, and logic analyzers
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and engineering drawings
  • Basic knowledge of embedded hardware, microcontrollers, sensor interfaces, and power electronics
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Excellent technical documentation and communication skills, * Internship, research, or academic project experience in hardware testing, embedded systems, or electronics.
  • Experience in regulated environments such as medical devices, aerospace, or automotive.
  • Experience working in a hands-on laboratory environment.
  • Familiarity with test documentation, data analysis, and defect tracking tools.
  • Experience with clients or environments similar to Rockwell is a plus.
