Job description

The ideal candidate is a hands-on Azure Platform Engineer first, with strong DevOps, infrastructure automation, security, and cloud governance experience. Candidates with experience supporting Microsoft Purview, Microsoft Fabric, Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, or other AI/data platforms will have a significant advantage. This is not primarily an AI developer position. The primary focus is on the cloud infrastructure, DevOps, security, automation, networking, and governance required to enable AI and data workloads to operate securely, reliably, and at enterprise scale., Client is seeking a Senior Azure DevOps / Cloud Platform Engineer to help build, secure, automate, and support an enterprise Azure environment supporting AI and data initiatives.

Requirements

This is a highly hands-on platform engineering role focused on Azure infrastructure, DevOps, security, governance, networking, identity, and infrastructure automation. The ideal candidate will have strong production experience with Azure, Terraform, Azure DevOps, CI/CD, networking, identity, and cloud security, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with data, application, cybersecurity, networking, and architecture teams. The existing team includes an engineer focused heavily on Microsoft Fabric and Azure AI Foundry. This position will complement that resource by providing additional depth across Azure platform engineering, DevOps, security, governance, and infrastructure automation. Required

  • 5+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, DevSecOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering.
  • 3+ years of hands-on production Azure experience.
  • Strong experience with Terraform / Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Strong experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD, including YAML pipelines.
  • Strong understanding of Azure networking concepts, including:

  • VNets
  • Subnets
  • Network Security Groups (NSGs)
  • Private Endpoints
  • DNS
  • Routing
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Entra ID / Azure RBAC.
  • Experience with Azure Key Vault.
  • Experience with Azure Monitor and Log Analytics.
  • Experience building and supporting secure Azure environments across Dev, Test, and Production.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative enterprise environment.
