Experteer Overview As a Cloud Platform Engineer in the AWS Foundations track, you enable secure, scalable cloud delivery by building and operating foundational AWS services. You will implement landing zones, governance, networking, and identity controls while partnering with architecture, security, and operations teams. The role emphasizes platform engineering with a product mindset to accelerate cloud adoption and provide self-service capabilities for application teams. You’ll stay current with AWS capabilities and contribute to enterprise standards and governance. This position offers a blend of hands-on engineering, collaboration, and impact across Genworth

Compensation / Benefits * Design, implement, and support foundational AWS platform services across the enterprise * Build and maintain AWS landing zones, account structures, and governance guardrails * Oversee enterprise cloud foundations including networking, identity, policy, security controls, and observability * Engineer and support AWS networking services (VPCs, Transit Gateway, Route 53, Direct Connect, PrivateLink, VPC Endpoints) * Implement and maintain IAM, Identity Center (SSO), RBAC, and security best practices * Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code via Terraform and automation pipelines * Partner with Cloud Architecture and Security to enforce enterprise standards * Support hybrid cloud and on-premises integration and service access patterns * Troubleshoot complex AWS platform issues across networking, identity, security, and automation * Contribute to platform observability, monitoring, and runbooks * Assist application teams in secure, cost-effective AWS consumption * Create and maintain architecture patterns and operational runbooks * Support platform modernization initiatives and evaluate new AWS capabilities Tasks * 5-8+ years in cloud/ platform engineering or related roles * Strong AWS experience and cloud platform operations * Design and support of AWS networking (VPCs, Transit Gateway, Route 53, Direct Connect, PrivateLink) and security controls * Experience with IAM, Identity Center (SSO), SCPs, governance * Terraform experience (module-driven and resource-specific) * Troubleshooting cloud and on-prem environments across infra and networking * CI/CD pipelines, automation frameworks, Git workflows * Familiarity with Kubernetes, EKS and cloud-native tools * Willingness to support production environments and operational duties * Ability to translate architecture into operational platform implementations * Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills * Education as listed: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience Key requirements * Competitive compensation * Comprehensive healthcare coverage * Several 401(k) options * Paid time off including holidays and family leave * Tuition reimbursement and training support * Wellness resources and employee assistance programs
