Data Analyst resumes due by 8/19

• Understand the specific structure behind data derived from bank wire transfers (includes international formats coming from message systems such as SWIFT, CHIPS, and book transfer systems) and other forms of BSA-derived data such as SARs, CTRs, and 8300s
• Provide data analysis related to special collections and other BSA (Bank Secrecy Act) derived data
• Pair different types of BSA-derived data with open-source data sources, information scraped from the web, financial data, sources provided from other Government agencies (such as law enforcement agencies), and classified data sources
• Perform data analysis in a way that is documented and repeatable by others
• Utilize Clients’ tools, to include:
• BSA Search, which allows users to query, filter, and analyze BSA data via Quick (“Google-like”), Basic (simple), Advanced (customizable) and Import Lists (using large data sets). Additionally, users can also save items, export data, and perform downloads.
• Transaction Grid Search (TGS), which provides the ability to search, filter, review, and visualize BSA Transactions and is available in the classified environment.

• Experience working with large data environments storing financial transactions or similar critical data sets.
• Expertise in Python, Jupyter Notebook, R, NumPy, Pandas, Sci-Kit Learn
• Experience with entity resolution of large data sets
• Experience with data mapping and cleaning; Ensuring data quality and integrity through validation and cleaning processes
• Ability to analyze large datasets to identify trends and insights
• Experience in research and delivery of analytic conclusions derived from financial data or other large data sets.
• Experience in the application of advanced analytics for financial data analysis (or similar large data sets) and the application of quantitative and qualitative analysis techniques and processes (statistical sampling, regression analysis, link analysis, geospatial analysis, social network analysis, data mining) to data
• Strong foundation in statistical methods
• Principled in documenting and sharing code
• Design and implement models and algorithms Collaboration, Communication, and Project Management Expertise
• Experience communicating project progress, support needs, and requests to senior management
• Experience communicating analytical output to senior management, including clear conveyance of ‘so what’ and ‘why this matters’ as it relates to the client’s mission
• Ability to collaborate with business users.
• Review data mapping of incoming data for accuracy and completeness
• Perform cleaning and structuring to ensure analysis can be run on the data

• Pay Rate / Range:__$65-$80
