Job description
IT Project Manager coordinates IT initiatives to support consistent planning, execution, visibility, and accountability across the IT organization. Working with IT leaders, project owners, team members, vendors, and business stakeholders, this role maintains project plans, tracks progress and risks, supports portfolio reporting, and helps promote project management standards and best practices.
Approximately 80% of the role is focused on IT project management, portfolio coordination, governance, and delivery support. Approximately 20% supports IT operational administration, including purchasing, vendor coordination, contract lifecycle management (CLM), expense tracking, invoice review, and accounts payable coordination., * Develop and maintain project plans for assigned IT initiatives, including scope, timelines, milestones, deliverables, dependencies, resources, risks, and communications.
- Coordinate assigned projects throughout the project lifecycle, tracking progress and supporting timely completion of project objectives and deliverables.
- Gather, maintain, and communicate project status, priorities, risks, issues, dependencies, and milestones to IT leaders and key stakeholders.
- Partner with project owners, IT team members, vendors, and business stakeholders to maintain accurate project information and alignment on priorities, timelines, and deliverables.
- Maintain IT project and portfolio reporting, dashboards, status summaries, and other leadership communications.
- Support project intake, prioritization, resource coordination, and planning across multiple concurrent IT initiatives.
- Identify and track project risks, issues, and dependencies; coordinate follow-up activities and escalate concerns as appropriate to support project delivery.
- Maintain and promote project management standards, templates, documentation, governance processes, and best practices across the IT organization.
- Coordinate IT operational administration, including hardware and software ordering, vendor purchases and renewals, contract lifecycle management, expense tracking, invoice review, budget visibility, and accounts payable support.

Requirements
- Knowledge of project management principles, project lifecycle methodologies, portfolio management practices, and project governance.
- Ability to develop and maintain project plans, timelines, milestones, deliverables, risks, dependencies, and supporting documentation.
- Skill in tracking, organizing, and communicating project status, priorities, risks, and progress across multiple concurrent initiatives.
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with IT leadership, technical teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors.
- Ability to manage competing priorities, maintain attention to detail, drive follow-up, and support accountability across project teams.
- Knowledge of IT purchasing, vendor management, contract lifecycle management (CLM), expense tracking, invoice processing, and accounts payable coordination..
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times, * High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate or bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Project Management, or a related field preferred.
- Two or more years of experience in project management, project coordination, PMO, portfolio management, IT operations, or a related area preferred.
- Experience supporting project plans, project intake, status reporting, resource coordination, portfolio reporting, or other project management activities preferred.
- Experience developing project status reports, dashboards, portfolio summaries, or leadership communications preferred.
- Experience working with project management standards, templates, governance processes, or best practices preferred.
- Experience supporting IT purchasing, vendor management, contract lifecycle management (CLM), expense tracking, invoice processing, or accounts payable activities preferred.
- Experience working in a growing or evolving IT environment where processes and operating practices are being developed or standardized preferred.
