Job description

We’re looking for a Senior Networking Solutions Architect to own the design, deployment architecture, and evolution of the connectivity solutions we deliver to customers across North America and Europe. You’ll be the technical authority on multi-WAN, cellular, and satellite networking for environments where downtime means lost revenue: unattended payment terminals, EV chargers, parking systems, transit validators, and distributed retail fleets.

You’ll work directly with sales, product, and engineering leadership to scope customer deployments, design resilient network architectures, and set the technical standards for how Paygasus connects the physical economy.

What You’ll Do

  • Architect end-to-end connectivity solutions using Cradlepoint (Ericsson), Peplink, and Starlink platforms, including multi-WAN failover, SD-WAN, LTE/5G cellular, and LEO satellite backhaul
  • Design network topologies for unattended and distributed environments: payment kiosks, EV charging sites, parking structures, transit systems, stadiums, and multi-site retail
  • Serve as the senior technical resource on customer engagements - pre-sales solution design, deployment planning, escalation support, and post-deployment optimization
  • Define reference architectures, hardware standards, and configuration baselines across our router, gateway, and antenna portfolio
  • Ensure all network designs meet PCI DSS segmentation and security requirements for payment traffic
  • Build and maintain relationships with carrier partners (AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon) and hardware vendors; evaluate new products and negotiate technical roadmaps
  • Support network monitoring and uptime assurance initiatives, including telemetry-driven failure detection across deployed fleets
  • Mentor deployment and support engineers; create documentation, runbooks, and training materials
  • Travel occasionally to customer sites for complex deployments and technical discovery

Requirements

  • 8+ years in network engineering or solutions architecture, with 3+ years in a customer-facing architect role
  • Deep hands-on expertise with Cradlepoint NetCloud and/or Peplink InControl - device configuration, fleet management, VPN/tunneling (including SpeedFusion or NCX), and cellular optimization
  • Strong working knowledge of LTE/5G WAN design: carrier selection, SIM management, signal engineering, antenna selection, and failover logic
  • Experience deploying or integrating Starlink (or other LEO satellite) as primary or backup WAN
  • Solid grounding in routing, switching, VLANs, firewalls, VPN, QoS, and network security fundamentals
  • Ability to translate business requirements into defensible technical designs - and explain them to both engineers and executives
  • Experience writing SOWs, network design documents, and RFP technical responses

Strongly Preferred:

  • Experience with payment networks, PCI DSS network segmentation, or other regulated-traffic environments
  • Certifications such as Cradlepoint Certified Network Professional (CCNP-Cradlepoint), Peplink Certified Engineer (PCE), Cisco CCNP, or equivalent
  • Familiarity with unattended payment hardware, IoT/M2M deployments, or fleet telemetry platforms
  • Experience supporting public-sector or transit customers (SLED procurement environments a plus)

About the company

Paygasus is the payments and connectivity operating system for the physical economy - one platform, one ledger, one contract. Since June 2012, we’ve processed over $100 billion in payments across 3,400+ locations in 30 countries, supporting 140+ currencies. We power unattended and attended commerce for EV charging, parking, transit, car washes, healthcare, government, stadiums, and more - and we back it with the network connectivity layer that keeps every endpoint online and earning.

We are PCI DSS Level 1 and SOC 2 certified, and connectivity is not a side business for us. It’s half of who we are.
