Job description

We are seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Architect to serve as the primary cloud architecture resource supporting a large enterprise environment. This individual will provide strategic guidance, hands on technical leadership, and architectural expertise across both operational and project based cloud initiatives.

The Azure Cloud Architect will be responsible for designing, optimizing, and governing enterprise cloud solutions while partnering closely with customer teams, technical leadership, and delivery resources. Success in this role requires a combination of deep Azure expertise, infrastructure knowledge, strong communication skills, and a willingness to be both strategic and hands on in day to day operations., * Define and execute cloud architecture strategies, roadmaps, and standards centered around Microsoft Azure

  • Design and implement secure, scalable, resilient, and highly available cloud solutions aligned with business objectives
  • Serve as the primary Azure subject matter expert supporting operational and project based initiatives
  • Architect and optimize Azure infrastructure, networking, identity management, storage, compute, and platform services
  • Lead cloud modernization efforts, including migrations, cloud native solutions, and platform enhancements
  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform, ARM templates, Bicep, or related technologies
  • Design and support containerized environments utilizing Kubernetes, Red Hat OpenShift, ArgoCD, Harbor Registry, and related technologies
  • Partner with customer teams to provide cloud architecture guidance, consulting, and technical leadership
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex cloud infrastructure, platform, and application issues
  • Establish cloud governance, security, compliance, disaster recovery, and operational best practices
  • Lead architecture reviews and provide oversight for enterprise cloud initiatives
  • Collaborate with vendors, developers, infrastructure teams, and operational stakeholders to ensure successful solution delivery
  • Support Azure access management, permissions administration, ticket resolution, and cloud operations as needed
  • Monitor cloud utilization, performance, reliability, and costs while identifying opportunities for optimization, * Serve as the lead Azure Cloud Architect supporting a complex enterprise environment
  • Partner directly with customer leadership and technical teams on strategic cloud initiatives
  • Work across both architecture and hands on engineering responsibilities

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in cloud architecture, cloud engineering, infrastructure engineering, or enterprise architecture roles
  • Extensive hands on experience designing, implementing, and supporting Microsoft Azure environments at the enterprise level
  • Deep knowledge of Azure services including Azure DevOps, Azure SQL, Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Azure Virtual Networks, Azure Monitor, and related platform services
  • Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code utilizing Terraform, ARM templates, Bicep, or equivalent technologies
  • Hands on experience designing and supporting Kubernetes based platforms, Red Hat OpenShift environments, ArgoCD, Harbor Registry, or similar container technologies
  • Strong background in networking, cloud security, identity and access management, disaster recovery, business continuity, and high availability architecture
  • Experience supporting regulated environments with working knowledge of HIPAA and security compliance requirements
  • Proven ability to serve as the lead cloud architect and trusted advisor across multiple technical teams and business stakeholders
  • Experience providing both strategic architecture leadership and hands on operational support
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex Azure infrastructure, platform, and application issues
  • Experience working directly with customers, gathering requirements, evaluating solutions, and providing architectural recommendations
  • Strong understanding of cloud governance, security frameworks, operational excellence, and best practices
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts to both technical and nontechnical audiences
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, documentation, and decision making skills
  • Ability to effectively manage competing priorities in a fast paced enterprise environment, * Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect Expert
  • Azure Administrator Associate certification
  • Azure DevOps Engineer Expert certification
  • Azure Security Engineer certification
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices
  • Knowledge of observability and monitoring platforms
  • Experience with automation frameworks and cloud operational tooling
  • Familiarity with FinOps and cloud cost optimization strategies
  • Experience supporting hybrid cloud and multi cloud environments

Benefits & conditions

Pay: $80.00 - $105.00 per hour
