Job description

We’re looking for a curious, driven, and sharp entry-level software engineer to support our engineering efforts and help solve practical problems in logistics, mapping, and geospatial intelligence.

You’ll work on building reliable software systems that process mobile sensor data, GPS traces, and delivery metadata. This role focuses on strong fundamentals in programming, data structures, and software design, with opportunities to contribute to data pipelines, backend services, and internal tools that power our products.

This is a great opportunity if you want to join a fast-paced team, take ownership of production code, and grow into larger technical responsibility over time.

What You’ll Do

  • Build and maintain software that ingests, processes, and stores mobile sensor data, GPS traces, and delivery metadata
  • Develop backend services, data pipelines, and internal tools that support location intelligence products
  • Write clean, well-tested, and maintainable code
  • Debug and improve existing systems, focusing on reliability and performance
  • Work with engineers and product teams to design APIs, data models, and system interfaces
  • Analyze and work with noisy, real-world data to support product features
  • Communicate technical decisions, tradeoffs, and progress clearly to the team
  • Take ownership of real product work early and expand responsibility as you grow

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field
  • Strong proficiency in Python and comfort learning new languages as needed
  • Solid understanding of core computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and complexity
  • Experience with software construction, object-oriented programming, and clean code practices
  • Familiarity with building and debugging systems that handle real-world data
  • Experience using version control (e.g., Git) and collaborating in a team codebase
  • A portfolio of projects that demonstrates strong programming fundamentals, problem-solving ability, and curiosity

Nice-to-Have:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a professional context, especially in a startup environment
  • Exposure to backend development, APIs, or distributed systems
  • Exposure to web or app development and/or design
  • Some exposure to geospatial data, mapping tools, or location-based systems
  • Experience with testing frameworks, performance profiling, or monitoring
  • A love of building good software

If you’re excited to help build the future of location intelligence, we’d love to meet you!
