Support NORAD cybersecurity for ITW/AA and NISSC II: implement and monitor security controls per DoD/NIST RMF, perform forensics and intrusion response, document compliance, support ST&E/testing, manage configuration and vulnerability remediation to maintain mission systems’ integrity., Selected by the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center’s Strategic Warning and Surveillance Systems Division for Operations, Maintenance, and Sustainment (OM&S) of critical mission systems for the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) Cheyenne Mountain Complex (NCMC), we support the Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract II (NISSC II).

Since 2020, through the (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract II (NISSC II), has provided:

• Operations, maintenance, and Sustainment of current and legacy systems for the surveillance and cataloging of manmade objects in space.
• Mitigation of orbital conflicts.
• Threat warnings and control from airborne, land-based, and space-based systems for threat activities.
• Operations and maintenance of classified communications.
• Software development and integration., The Cybersecurity Engineer supports North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) on the Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract II (NISSC II). The candidate will:
• Implement and maintain the security and integrity of information systems and networks.

• Identify and resolve moderately complex issues to prevent cyber-attacks on information systems and to keep computer information systems secure from interruption of service, intellectual property theft, network viruses, data mining, financial theft, and theft of sensitive customer data, allowing business to continue as normal.

• Develop and collect artifacts to document compliance for cybersecurity controls IAW DoD and NIST RMF guidelines.
• Participate in the development, implementation, and monitoring of analytical and technical methodologies, tools, and policies/standards to ensure a cyber-secure environment for the customer.
• Provide computer forensic and intrusion support to high-technology investigations in the form of computer evidence seizure, computer forensic analysis, data recovery, and network assessments.
• Participate in configuration control process for hardware and software to include technology selection/recommendation and ongoing configuration management.
• Provide analysis of established security requirements and recommendation of additional security requirements and safeguards.
• Support the formal ST&E required by each government accrediting authority through pre-test preparations, participation in tests, analysis of the results, and the preparation of required reports.
• Continuously monitor the cybersecurity posture of each system and implement corrective actions or mitigations until all vulnerabilities are addressed.

This position is expected to pay $95,000-$105,000 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.

This position will be filled and work onsite at Cheyenne Mountain Space Force Station (CMSFS), Colorado

• Must have the ability to prepare, objectively review, and deliver technical presentations.
• Must understand NIST standards.
• NISSC II experience

Desired Requirements:

• Ability to work with diverse teams of engineering and support personnel in a mission-critical operational environment
• Must possess above-average verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated experience interfacing with senior Air Force and/or DoD customers, as well as experience serving multiple DoD Agencies.
• Experience supporting NC3 mission systems/subsystems.
• Experience with Xacta.
• 2 years of Cybersecurity or Project Management experience or equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.
