Infrastructure Supervisor/Manager

Experteer Overview In this role you will lead a multi-disciplinary infrastructure team to deliver secure, scalable, and reliable services across corporate, cloud, data center, and field environments. You’ll partner with IT leadership to translate business needs into practical technology solutions and drive the infrastructure roadmap and operational excellence. You will own people development, incident resolution, and governance, while enabling secure AI-enabled tool adoption. This is a hands-on, leadership-forward opportunity to shape the backbone of SM Energy’s technology estate. Compensation / Benefits * Lead and develop a team of 8-10 infrastructure professionals across multiple disciplines. * Manage staffing, performance reviews, and professional development plans; mentor for cross-team collaboration. * Oversee daily operations across servers, storage, networking, cloud, virtualization, DB administration, collaboration, and backup/DR. * Ensure service levels are met or exceeded; manage incidents and escalations to resolution. * Maintain reliability and performance across corporate and field/OT environments; support project execution as needed. * Define and enforce infrastructure architecture standards and runbooks; document for consistency. * Execute roadmap priorities including capacity planning, lifecycle management, and modernization. * Implement backup, DR, and business continuity procedures with testing and improvements. * Oversee field site/OT networking, including design, connectivity, and liaison with field teams. * Ensure SOX, ITGC, and security/compliance alignment; respond to audits and coordinate activities. * Support vendor relationships and contribute to contract/renewal reviews; assist budgeting and investment planning. * Track and report on infrastructure metrics; drive continuous improvement; support AI initiatives and automation. * Maintain SOPs, runbooks, and knowledge base documentation. Tasks * 8+ years of progressive IT infrastructure experience across servers, storage, networking, cloud, and virtualization. * 3+ years of leadership or management experience. * Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or related discipline preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
