Job description

Caplock Security is seeking an experienced Application Engineer to serve as the primary technical support lead for one or more core applications. In this role, you will work closely with server administrators and database administrators while maintaining a distinct separation of duties. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle management of application software, deployment releases, security compliance, and ongoing infrastructure support across pre-production and production environments. This position is a contingent hire, with employment dependent upon the successful award of the contract. Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain all software products utilized by supported applications.
  • Execute software version installations, upgrades, and patch management.
  • Identify application-specific firewall and network requirements.
  • Provide hands-on technical support for data center migrations.
  • Handle setup and administration of interfaces and APIs.
  • Provide primary technical support for break/fix incidents to ensure high uptime.
  • Direct support for the application’s code release process across both pre-production and production environments.
  • Support application requirements driven by organizational transformation initiatives.
  • Lead the implementation of application-based Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and Security Requirements Guides (SRGs).
  • Generate and provide required STIG/SRG output artifacts in support of program compliance.
  • Research, troubleshoot, and remediate cybersecurity vulnerabilities discovered through routine scanning.

Requirements

  • Seven (7) years of relevant experience
  • BS, BA, or four (4) additional years of related experience
  • Clearance: Secret
  • Certifications: DoD 8140 / 8570 Certified (e.g., Cloud+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+, SSCP, or greater), This position requires an active secret security clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain one. U.S. citizenship is required. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
