Job description

We’re seeking a hands-on engineering leader to own the technical direction, architecture, and execution of an AI Attack Simulation platform. You’ll translate adversarial AI research and real-world attack techniques into scalable, repeatable security-testing capabilities while helping determine what gets built, why it matters, and how success is measured.

This is not a ticket-management leadership position. You’ll remain hands-on with architecture, prototyping, implementation, and difficult technical problems while mentoring engineers and partnering closely with Product and Security Research.

Responsibilities

  • Own architecture and technical direction for AI attack-simulation technology
  • Build scalable systems that translate adversarial AI techniques into production security capabilities
  • Design agentic workflows, tool integrations, execution systems, guardrails, and evaluation frameworks
  • Partner with Product Management and Security Research on strategy and roadmap development
  • Develop AI-first engineering workflows across research, prototyping, implementation, testing, and release
  • Remain hands-on with critical architecture and complex engineering challenges
  • Lead technical reviews and establish engineering best practices
  • Improve reliability, security, observability, and overall product quality
  • Mentor engineers and help develop senior technical talent
  • Help engineers take greater ownership of customer problems and product outcomes

Requirements

  • 10+ years of professional software engineering experience
  • Significant technical leadership experience with complex production systems
  • Strong backend and distributed systems engineering background
  • Deep experience with cloud-native architectures
  • Production experience building AI or agentic systems
  • Experience with tool use, orchestration, state management, structured outputs, guardrails, and AI evaluation
  • Cybersecurity product experience or background in areas such as:

o Offensive security o Attack simulation o AI security o Red teaming o Penetration testing o Security/control validation

  • Strong Go/Golang development experience
  • Experience with another production language such as Python, Rust, Java, or TypeScript
  • Strong product mindset and experience working directly with Product Management
  • Ability to mentor engineers and lead through ambiguity

Preferred Experience

  • AI red teaming or adversarial machine learning
  • Breach and attack simulation
  • Adversary emulation or continuous security validation
  • MITRE ATT&CK and/or ATLAS
  • OpenAI Agents SDK, LangGraph, AutoGen, or similar agent orchestration technology
  • AI evaluation datasets, graders, traces, and regression frameworks
  • Secure sandbox development
  • Enterprise, self-hosted, air-gapped, or regulated software environments
  • Hiring and developing senior engineers
