Job description

Members Achieve More isn’t just a tagline for us, it’s part of everything we do! We’re looking for passionate individuals to join our team to help us maintain that focus every day. Want to work somewhere that’s remained strong for 90 years, that encourages you to learn, grow, and pursue your dreams? If yes, then read on… The Data & AI Governance Operations Lead owns the operating mechanics of data and AI governance. The role runs the intake process, maintains the AI/model inventory, coordinates the Enterprise AI Strategy & Governance Council and AI Risk review inputs, assembles readiness packets, maintains decision logs, coordinates the data governance operating rhythm, and tracks follow-up through closure. The role is the senior governance operator who prepares the work before the Lead Data & AI Architect makes the technical call. It does not own technical approval, architecture approval, security approval, independent model validation, vendor configuration, business prioritization, or final go/no-go authority. This role ensures that governance operates as a disciplined, end-to-end process, keeping decisions structured, traceable, and executed through closure. Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am -4pm or 9am - 5pm. This position will be a hybrid model both in person and remote with minimum of onsite expectation of 40% or as needed. In this position, you will Own and operate the single intake process for data, analytics, AI, model, and HAL and similar use cases, including required intake materials and routing rules. Maintain the enterprise AI/model inventory, including production systems, pilots, vendor AI capabilities, business owners, risk tiers, data sources, and review status. Coordinate the one-time baseline review of existing AI and model systems, including credit risk, fraud, chatbot tooling, media mix modeling, HAL and similar tools, productivity AI, engineering assistants, and internal document/RAG assistants. Coordinate the Enterprise AI Strategy & Governance Council process, AI Risk review inputs, agendas, evidence packets, decision logs, conditions, remediation items, and follow-up dates. Assemble readiness packets for AI and data governance reviews, including business purpose, owner, data sources, risk tier, access needs, technical review status, control findings, and open decisions. Run the data governance operating rhythm for data products, definitions, stewardship decisions, quality expectations, issue tracking, and policy/procedure maintenance. Coordinate with the Lead Data & AI Architect on technical readiness reviews and with the Manager, Data Science & Applied AI on model behavior, testing, monitoring, and vendor-claim review where applicable. Track governance metrics, decision cycle times, open remediation items, inventory completeness, and compliance evidence needed for audit, exam, and executive reporting. Other duties as assigned.
