Job description
Vanguard is seeking a skilled Splunk Dashboard Developer to design, develop, and maintain dashboards that provide actionable insights from Department-level operational data. The developer will work closely with NT leadership and operators to translate mission requirements into real-time, scalable, and visually intuitive dashboards., * Develop and maintain dashboards natively within Splunk using SPL (Search Processing Language) and Dashboard Studio / Simple XML.
- Optimize dashboards for performance, scalability, and usability with large data sets.
- Collaborate with NT leadership, engineers, operators, and stakeholders to ensure dashboards meet operational and mission requirements.
- Assist in data modeling, reporting, and access control configuration for secure and effective information sharing.
- Support documentation and training for dashboard users.
Requirements
- Bachelors and fourteen (14) years or more experience; Masters and twelve (12) years or more experience; may accept additional experience in lieu of degree.
- Strong experience with Splunk dashboard development and SPL query language.
- Proven ability to design and optimize Splunk dashboards for large, complex datasets.
- Experience translating operational requirements into actionable visualizations.
- Familiarity with collaborative tools for sharing dashboards across teams.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Required Clearance:
- ship.
- Active secret clearance with the ability to obtain top secret.
Preferred:
- Experience in a government environment.
- Familiarity with IT-related (specifically network) data and metrics.
- Familiarity with IT operations, monitoring, or ticketing platforms such as ServiceNow.
- Ability to use APIs to pull data from Splunk for custom reporting or integrations.
- Some Power BI experience for cases where Splunk dashboards may not meet all visualization needs.
- Security clearance or ability to obtain one.
Benefits & conditions
Target salary range: $160,001 - $200,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
